Lot 80 Cabernet Sauvignon Case Deal
As a lover of fine Margaret River Cabernet I want to bring to your attention an opportunity to secure our current highest ranking red wine at a significant discount.
The Lot 80 Cabernet Sauvignon has developed quite a pedigree. The 4 most recent vintages – 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 have each been awarded 95 points by James Halliday and Wine Companion.
Sadly, we have stocked out of the 2014 and 2015, while the 2017 is being carefully cellared for a later release date.
The 2016 vintage was been especially good for Margaret River Cabernet. Our wine consultant Larry Cherubino declared it to be one of the best Cabernet vintages of the decade.
Tasting notes from the 2019 Wine Companion are:
“This is a barrel selection, aged for 18 months in French oak barriques, the amount of new oak not specified but all integrated. A convincing wine with its currants, mulberries and spiced fruit compote notes all layered with bay leaves, cedar and cloves. Fuller-bodied, detailed savory tannins and complete. Ready to pour.”
At $45 per bottle, when compared to its Margaret River peers, this Cabernet is already good value. But with this one-off promotional 40% discount, the price per bottle reduces to $27 – making it an exceptional wine bargain!
But the catch is we can only offer this price on full 12 bottle cartons. The dozen price is $324 and includes free delivery.
This shouldn’t be a problem – your purchase is a good investment. As with previous vintages, this Cabernet will get better and better with age. Screw cap seals ensure your wine will remain intact for many years. We expect the 2016 Lot 80 Cabernet Sauvignon will be best for drinking between now and 2029.
You could challenge yourself to open just 2 bottles this year and then one bottle per year for the next 10 years to experience the evolving pleasure of bottle aging good red wine. Or if you are like me, you might just polish the whole lot off much sooner!
